Use this document whenever it is necessary to increase the noise emission criterion beyond the baseline values.
Note: If the baseline criterion is expressed as a sound power level (PWL), a yellow box appears for the user to enter the criterion value. If the baseline criterion is 80 dBA (SPL), the yellow box is not present.
The Criterion Adjustment Authorization Form should accompany the NASA 1707 Form (NF 1707) through the approval routing to provide documentation that noise emission has been properly considered in accordance with NASA Buy-Quiet Program requirements.
